Gastro Mania is a family owned business that started in 2014 with a food truck parked in NorthWest Portland.
While Gastro Mania takes inspiration from the vibrant food scene in Portland and the momentum that food trucks, gastro pubs, and breweries are enjoying, our concept reaches back to the good old tradition of fine dining and the quality of five-star restaurants.
Chef Alex Nenchev decided to blend hip with his background as a classically trained Continental and Mediterranean executive chef, bringing the white table cloth standard to his 1st food truck. His crafty and finessed gastronomy uses only fresh and local gourmet ingredients to deliver Mediterranean inspired delicatessens daily in Portland’s favorite casual trade mark – the four wheeler.
Two years later, inspired by the great and diverse population in Portland, a wide variety of tastes, chef/owner Alex and his wife decided to open brick and mortar in the NorthWest neighborhood. Once again, Gastro Mania kept things simple – delicately grilled seafood, crisp salads, herbs, lots of olive oil and lemon, and creative original sauces and marinades. Everything is prepared daily and serve to the customer.
Chef Alex and his wife are excited to open their another brick and mortar located in the heart of Downtown Portland over-looking the beautiful Columbia River.
The new location continues to serve our customers with delicious and unique meals inspired from different sides of the Mediterranean Region and exceptional service.
